The President serves as the official representative to the administration of Residential Life, Housing, and UCLA. This role involves leading Association meetings, facilitating discussions, and organizing programming initiatives for their community. The President is required to attend all Association meetings in order to stay connected with residents, ensuring proper advocacy for their needs. Additionally, the President casts a deciding vote in the event of a tie and meets regularly with the Assistant Resident Director and Resident Director to cultivate personal growth and leadership skills. The President, along with the Treasurer, communicates Funding Advisory Board Proposals and attends these meetings to share feedback given by their constituents.
The Treasurer is responsible for maintaining the community budget. This includes managing funds and reimbursements and presenting weekly budget updates during Association meetings. The Treasurer, alongside the President, attends Funding & Advisory Board meetings and reports back to the Association. The Treasurer is accountable for taking meeting minutes to ensure that all community feedback is recorded.
As a key member of both their community and the On-Campus Housing Council, this representative is knowledgeable about community needs and advocates for their Association. Responsibilities include attending Policy Review Board meetings, participating in the planning and execution of council legislation, and planning building-wide events. The representative attends all Association meetings and communicates any Hill-wide developments to members. In addition, they gather relevant insights to share at Policy Review Board Meetings on issues such as Dining, Housing and IT.
The Outreach Representative manages all social media and physical communications (fliers and posters) regarding Resident Government Council and events. This role involves attending Team Green meetings, participating in their sustainability initiatives and upholding the values of leadership and service. Outreach Representatives are expected to be active in communication and participation in programs outside of meetings. They are an active participant in Association meetings and stay engaged with residents in order to fulfill their responsibilities effectively.
