**Remember! Each floor/house must be represented with a community representative. If a floor does not send a representative to Monday night association meetings, the RA will need to go in their place. However, the RA does not have any voting power for their floor.
If you are interested in being a Community Representative, please reach out to your RA and/or RGC Member!**

Community Representatives focus on floor-specific community development and student advocacy. They gather feedback from their floor and voice residential concerns. They provide valuable insight on funding proposals and student experiences on the Hill!
One way to think about Community Representatives in relation to RGC and OCHC is the following pyramid chart.
Here in this chart, the residents of the Hill matter the most (your constituents, your community members, etc.). However, it is hard to gather insight from all of them, so on a city or town level, the Community Representatives do that. They gather insight from their floor or house and parse through that data to present and advocate during Association Meeting. At Association Meeting, the RGC members hear about the insight gathered from the Community Representatives and use it to inform decisions made on a Hill-wide level, AKA during Tuesday Night Meetings.
Community Representatives are a vital part of informing decisions that impact residents and are a necessary part of student government work here on the Hill.
